The New Brighton Residents Association is pleased to host the 2025 Annual General Meeting virtually through Zoom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Residents who plan on attending the AGM must pre-register prior to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Please click here to register.  Held each year, the NBRA Annual General Meeting provides residents with the perfect opportunity to receive updates regarding NBRA operations and ask any outstanding questions that they may have. For residents with an email on file with the association, an electronic copy of the AGM package was sent to your email address on September 10, 2025. Those residents who do not have an email address on file will have a copy mailed to them on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Vendor registration is now open for the 2025 Grand South Christmas market here at the New Brighton Clubhouse! A wide variety of vendors will be at the NBRA Clubhouse to help get holiday shopping done early while supporting local artisans, home-based businesses, and crafters of all varieties! Admission to the public is COMPLETELY FREE! A Calgary Food Bank donation bin will be on-site! Santa may live at the North Pole, but he does his shopping in the deep south! The NBRA is extremely proud to be partnering with the neighbouring communities of McKenzie Towne, Cranston, Seton, Auburn Bay and Mahogany to create a fantastic Grand South Christmas Market experience.

The NBRA Splash Park is officially open for the season! Remember, you must be in good standing with the NBRA to gain access to the property and the Splash Park. The Splash Park will be turned on every morning at 9am (11am on stat. holidays) unless it is raining heavily or storming. If conditions are safe when it is raining/storming, the Splash Park will be turned on by resident request only. Don't forget to bring a towel and sunscreen!

The New Brighton volleyball court & basketball courts are open and ready to be played on! The tetherball court will require slightly more time to open as our maintenance team performs yearly maintenance on it. As a reminder, the Clubhouse has sportsballs available to rent for free, residents just have to drop off their NBRA membership card to the front desk upon rental.

As a result, both rinks will be closed for the season, effective, March 3, 2025. The NBRA would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who enjoyed the rinks this season. We’re excited to see you soon at our other outdoor amenities, including the Tennis and Pickleball courts, Splash Park, and Basketball courts!

Hello New Brighton, Due to the water main break in the Bowness area as reported by the City of Calgary, multiple emergency water restrictions have been put in place. The New Brighton Residents Association did not complete our turning on of our Splash Park this morning, and it has been decided to keep the NBRA Splash Park off until further notice. Thank you for your understanding in these matters.

Calling all New Brighton pickleball players!   Every Sunday from 9:30am-11am, Court 1 (two Pickleball courts) will be blocked for any residents and their guests to come play Pickleball (no need to book ahead). Up to 8 people can play at a time and availability will be on a first come first serve basis. Racquets and balls can be borrowed at the Clubhouse front desk.   Residents will need to sign in their guests at the front desk, before going to the courts.  

After a lot of hard work by all the NBRA Maintenance Team we're proud to announce that the Splash Park will be open tomorrow, May 17th, at 9am! The NBRA Splash Park will be turned on every morning at 9am unless it is extremely rainy/stormy, at which point we will only turn on the park by request. Come down to the Clubhouse, and don't forget to bring a towel and sunscreen.

The New Brighton Community Association is looking for the first team of young residents to operate the new community lemonade stand during the Chalk in the Park event, on Neighbour Day, June 15, 2024 from 10am - 12pm!  Complete contest details are provided below! Be sure to enter soon, as the contest deadline is June 3, 2024 at 5pm!
