The New Brighton Residents Association is proud to host several events each year. These events are free to attend and open to all New Brighton residents (in good standing). Due to space constraints, some events require RSVP.

New Brighton's Virtual Christmas Market

Get your Christmas shopping done from the comfort of your home! The NBRA Christmas Market will be going virtual this year! The virtual market will run Nov 20th - Nov 27th. The vendors information will be feature on the New Brighton Clubhouse's FaceBook event (New Brighton's Virtual Christmas Market) and a direct link to each vendors social media page or website will be provided below.      Click on the vendor's name to view their website. North Pole Express - Drive Thru

Due to the new restrictions released on Nov 24th at 4:30pm by Premier Jason Kenney, the North Pole Express celebration has had to be revised again. The North Pole Express will now be a drive through in the NBRA parking lot! There will be two stops within the parking lot, one to collect your special gift and a quick photo opportunity with Santa and Mrs. Claus. If you wish to remain in your vehicle and wave to Santa and Mrs. Claus you can do so. There will be Santa’s elves helping direct your vehicle! COVID-19 Guidelines All children and adults must remain 6ft from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Please do not step outside of the outlined photo barrier for everyone’s safety. Once inside the barrier, children can remove their makes for a photo, but must be put back on when going back inside the car. This event is for New Brighton residents ONLY!  If you wish to donate to the Food Bank, please pack all non-perishable food items in a plastic bag and it will be collected the day of the event. Good Food Box

The Good Food Box (GFB) is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary whereby you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a very low cost. The Good Food Box is a hands-up program as opposed to hands-out. They offer all Calgarians’ sustainable access to nutritious food to ensure that no one has to go hungry. The boxes are put together and delivered by dedicated volunteers who along with The Community Kitchen desire to see individuals and families accessing affordable nutritious food.  Cut off: December 1st at noon Delivery: December 11th         Small: $25 Mediume: $30 Large: $35

Letters To Santa

Santa has left a mailbox in the New Brighton Clubhouse so the children of New Brighton can write to him! Let Santa know if you have been naughty or nice, what your holiday wish is this year and he will respond back! Be sure to drop off your letters starting Nov 20th. Please note the last day the letters can be submitted are on December 11th to ensure all letters are received before Christmas. This service is for New Brighton residents only. Be sure to include a return address. By clicking here, you can send an email to Santa and receive a response in 3-4 days.    

Brighton Up Your Home

The holiday season is finally here!! The NBRA wants to see your house decked out in beautiful shining, holiday inspiring decorations that will make every face light up with joy. Prizes will be awarded for: The Most Creative Home The Brightest Home The Most Christmas Spirit Home Submit a picture of your home including your address for the judges to view in person to recreation@nbra.ca before the cut-off date of December 11th at 5pm. A map will be created of all submitted homes in the community for all to checkout. We ask that you please follow all COVID-19 precautions when going around the community to look at these decorations. Prizes will be awarded to the top placing home in each category, it’s time to “Brighton” up the community!
