The New Brighton Residents Association is proud to host several events each year. These events are free to attend and open to all New Brighton residents (in good standing). Due to space constraints, some events require RSVP.

Tot Time

Bring your little ones and join a fun morning of socialization and unstructured free play all while parents enjoy coffee and great company! As per government regulations for the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP), the NBRA will ask for our customers to present one of the following forms of documentation, commencing Monday, September 20, 2021: a) Proof of Negative Test: Tests must be privately-paid Covid-19 PCR or rapid tests completed within 72 hours. Tests must not be from Alberta Health Services or Alberta Precision Laboratories. A negative test will need to be presented each visit to a program, activity or facility rental. b) Proof of Vaccination: Proof of a single dose is considered acceptable as long as the dose was given more than 2 weeks before the time of service. After October 25, 2021 proof of double vaccination is required. c) Document of a medical exemption. The note of medical exemption must be provided by a licensed physician. The NBRA will have a team member on-site to validate proof of documentation (participants will also be required to show a valid piece of photo ID at this time). Patrons are also reminded that masks are mandatory within the Clubhouse

The NBRA is excited to host the New Brighton Seniors Club, offering a variety of different activities including cards, crafts, games, great conversation and so much more. Movie in the Clubhouse

Join the NBRA every month for an exciting evening of family fun with movies curated for our wonderful New Brighton families! Indulge in freshly popped theater style popcorn, pop, and a hit movie, all for the low price of $5 for the entire family! The Clubhouse offers a cozy space for the kids to get comfortable and plenty of seating for parents to sit back and relax. Come in and enjoy the surround sound system that fills the room! Check out the website and Facebook pages to find each month’s movie. Show starts at 7:00! Get ready to spend a great evening with your family and most importantly, enjoy the show!        

Babysitting Night

Want a night out without the kids? Let us look after your little ones while you enjoy some quality time. Registration is required by registering online (My Programs, Workshops) https://nbra.perfectmind.com, visiting the front desk or by calling 403-781-6613 ext 1 Rate $12/child A light snack & drink will be offered during the evening. Please feel free to pack nut free snacks/drinks for your children should they need more. *please note:  Payment will be taken at time of booking.

Tween's Night Out (10-14yrs)

Tween Night (1st Friday of the month 7pm-8:30pm) Let’s have some fun to the Clubhouse! Tweens and teens are invited to a night of games, competitions & good times.  Doors open at 7pm so grab your friends and meet us there. *Tweens ages 10 & 11 must have a parent sign them in & out to participate. * ($2 drop in, includes snacks)         

NBRA AGM 2021

The New Brighton Residents Association is pleased to be hosting the 2021 Annual General Meeting virtually through Zoom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.  Residents who plan on attending the AGM must pre-register via the following link:  https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYrdumqqzoqG9fSXz4T_2ZB-t9R0TFQwD0q prior to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021, to obtain the official Annual General Meeting Link.  The meeting link and instructions will be sent via email on October 4, 2021 by 5:00pm.  The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. on October 5, 2021, any late arrivals will be unable to vote once the scrutineer's report has been delivered.  All residents who plan on attending the AGM must be in good standing with the NBRA. Held each year, the NBRA Annual General Meeting provides residents with the perfect opportunity to receive updates regarding NBRA operations and ask any outstanding questions that they may have.  For those residents who have an email on file with the association, an electronic copy of the AGM package was sent to your email address on the morning of September 13, 2021.   Those residents who do not have an email address on file, had a copy mailed to them on Friday, September 10, 2021.  If you have not received a copy of this package prior to Friday, September 17, 2021, either electronically or via mail, please visit the New Brighton Clubhouse located at 2 New Brighton Drive, email admin@nbra.ca, or call 403-781-6613, X:1 to request a copy.  We hope to see you virtually on October 5, 2021!

Canvas Creations (18+)

Come to the Clubhouse for a relaxing evening of creativity! Learn the technique behind different painting styles and get in touch with your inner artist while visiting with friends! Create your masterpiece from start to finish and take it home to show off your new skills. Drinks will be available for the duration of the workshop. *Note: 1st drink is included with program cost, additional drinks will be sold at a cost of $5 each at the cash bar*

Good Food Box

The Good Food Box (GFB) is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary whereby you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a very low cost. The Good Food Box is a hands-up program as opposed to hands-out. They offer all Calgarians’ sustainable access to nutritious food to ensure that no one has to go hungry. The boxes are put together and delivered by dedicated volunteers who along with The Community Kitchen desire to see individuals and families accessing affordable nutritious food.  Cut off: September 28th at noon Delivery: October 8th                 Small: $25 Medium: $30 Large: $35

Movie Night Popcorn Packs

Looking to kick up your Family Movie Night a notch?
