The New Brighton Residents Association is proud to host several events each year. These events are free to attend and open to all New Brighton residents (in good standing). Due to space constraints, some events require RSVP.

Good Food Box

The Good Food Box (GFB) is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary whereby you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a very low cost. The Good Food Box is a hands-up program as opposed to hands-out. They offer all Calgarians’ sustainable access to nutritious food to ensure that no one has to go hungry. The boxes are put together and delivered by dedicated volunteers who along with The Community Kitchen desire to see individuals and families accessing affordable nutritious food.  Interested in getting a box? Frighton Up Your Home

Do you have spooky, scary or frightening decorations? The NBRA wants to see your house decked out for Halloween! Prizes will be awarded to the best decorated homes in each of the 3 categories. All you have to do is spook out your house, email recreation@nbra.ca including, pictures of your decorations and address. Judging will commence at 5:30pm. On Oct 28th, the winners will be selected and will receive a basket full of goodies and a lawn sign dropped off on your front porch! All rules and regulations outlinted around COIVD-19 will be in place for this event. 

Halloween Spooktacular

Calling all goblins, witches and ghosts of New Brighton! Make the NBRA your first stop this Halloween! Everyone is invited down to the Clubhouse for crafts, games and lots of candy! Don’t forget your costumes as a photo booth will be on site! All regulations around COVID-19 will be in place during this event. 

Grand South Christmas Market

Get your Christmas shopping done early this year! With over 55 vendors onsite filling the Banquet, Studio, Skate Change Room and Outdoor Heated Tent your sure to find something great for that special someone! This event is held in conjunction with Auburn Bay, Mahogany, McKenzie Towne, and Cranston Residents Association. Pick up a passport at your first location, collect 3 out of 5 stamps to be entered into a gift basket worth over $3,000!  Please check here to view the 2020 application.    All precautions outlined by Alberta Health Services around COVID-19 will be put in place for this event.
