The New Brighton Community Cleanup is back in 2025. Save a trip to the landfill and bring any items that don't fit in your black bins to Shepard Community Hall for easy disposal. This event runs from 9am-2pm, although it may be necessary to impose line cut-offs prior to 2pm. Please arrive early to ensure you have enough time to dispose of needed items.
This service is free of charge to all Calgarians.
Items that are accepted:
- All standard city of Calgary waste items
- Charity donation items
- Tires - Liberty Tire Recycling
- Bicycles
- Metals - Calgary Ethical Recycling
- Electronics
- Confidential Shredding - Enviroshred
- Recycle Me "Free" Store
Items that are not accepted:
- Household chemicals
- Car batteries
- Glass/Paint
- Propane/Helium tanks
- Concrete
- Construction Waste
