On May 13, 2020 the Province of Alberta announced the phased re-opening of several business and services, with the implementation of specific restrictions.  Summer day camps are included within these services.  After taking into consideration the current State of Local Emergency declared in the City of Calgary and staying consistent with their example of cancelling their own day camp programs, the NBRA made the very difficult decision to cancel all summer day camp programs for the 2020 Summer season.

Safety always comes first at the New Brighton Residents Association, and the decision to cancel our Summer Day Camps during this pandemic did not come lightly. This is a very critical time to protect the health of all children, employees, our community and neighbours. Although this decision is extremely disappointing for us all, we know that this is one crucial step in helping to stop the spread of Covid-19.
