Prior to joining the NBRA Team, Carla gained valuable experience in leadership roles with Disney Cruise Lines, Delta and Fairmont Hotels, the Lake Louise Recreation Society and the Cranston Residents Association. She is grateful to share her passion for recreation management with the community of New Brighton, as General Manager of the Residents Association since September 2013. With over 20 years of management experience in the field; her enthusiasm, creativity, and exceptional customer service skills pave the way for continued success of the NBRA Team. In her spare time, Carla enjoys kayaking, travelling, camping, reading, and fishing with her husband Peter, son Carter and fur-friend Daisy. Her guilty pleasure is watching Game of Thrones, and yes… she does enjoy attending Calgary’s Comic Convention every year! Carla looks forward to continuing to share her passion for community with the residents of New Brighton!

Andrew Brown is one of NBRA’s newest editions fulfilling the role of Facilities and Amenities Leader and he is absolutely thrilled to join the team. Andrew has an extensive background in landscaping and construction and holds a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from the University of New Brunswick in addition to numerous other professional accreditations including incident command system training and workplace training and assessment.
Born in the East, Andrew has spent most of his life in Calgary with the exception of a 7 year adventure to the Middle East where he and his family worked and lived in Doha, Qatar. During his tenure overseas, Andrew temporarily left industry to become a college trades instructor teaching health and safety, workplace communications, and industrial trades skills. Having developed a sincere and authentic passion for teaching and facilitation, Andrew also has an unwavering service orientation and relentlessly has a strong safety focus while conducting his work and supervision of others. Having picked up the travel bug while abroad, Andrew loves to travel to and explore new and different places; preferring to stay away from tourist heavy destinations. This includes spending a lot of time with his family in their travel trailer, where they love spending time camping in Alberta’s amazing parks and recreation areas with Maddie, the family’s adorable and loving dog.

Bryanna is the new Customer Service Leader for the New Brighton Residents Association. She joined the NBRA team August 2019, and is very excited about the opportunity she has been given. Working at the NBRA gives her the opportunity to interact with all the New Brighton residents and meet new people every day.
She was born and raised in Calgary, and grew up with 2 younger sisters. Bryanna graduated from Bishop O’Byrne high school and went on to complete the Petroleum Land Administration certificate from SAIT. Bryanna likes to fill her down time by keeps herself busy by playing with her puppy Riley and going camping and fishing. Her love for fishing started many years ago when she learned how to Fly-fish. Her favorite spot to fish is Southern Alberta!

Clare Lovely is the Recreation Leader at the New Brighton Residents Association. She first joined the NBRA team in July 2014. She is proud to be on a team that is constantly growing and improving the community of New Brighton!
While she isn’t working full-time at the Clubhouse, you can find her playing soccer, exploring the mountains, or spending time with her friends and family. She also loves spending time with her four-legged friend Millie and taking her on adventures!
Over the past couple of years, Clare has really enjoyed working in the community of New Brighton. It provides her with many opportunities to interact with wonderful residents while being able to show her creativity through events and the NBRA social media pages.
She is excited to see what the future holds for her while continuing her journey at the NBRA.

Jennifer joined the NBRA team in June 2017 as the Resident Activities Coordinator. She has travelled the world and built a career on customer relations including various hospitality, front-desk and administration roles in Europe and Australia.
Jennifer has diplomas in tourism, customer service and events. She thrives on working with positive, enthusiastic, and driven individuals; the core foundation of New Brighton.
Jennifer can be found keeping active with her family, enjoying a glass of wine with friends or binging on a new series. She enjoys camping & hiking with family and friends in the summer months and in the winter you can find her at a rink watching her kids play hockey and ringette. To complete Jenn’s family she has a dog, Stella and cat, Hazel.
Jennifer is passionate about the programs she offers at the Clubhouse and is always looking to bring new options to the residents of New Brighton.

Craig Heisler joined the New Brighton Residents Associations maintenance team in September 2016. Craig has lived in Alberta since 2008, when he moved here from Nova Scotia. His love of hiking, the mountains, and staring at rocks led him to complete his Bachelors of Science in Geology at the University of Calgary. His love for having fun outdoors means that he enjoys the opportunity to maintain and improve the amenities of New Brighton while getting fresh air. When he is not working, you can find Craig watching the Blue Jays with his dog Grady or getting lost among the rocks, wherever he can find them.

Joining the New Brighton Residents Association in July 2021 as Resident Concierge, Taylor is the newest member of the team! Taylor is thrilled to be working in New Brighton sharing her passion for building community with like-minded people. Previously working at the Mahogany Homeowners Association and Westman Village in Mahogany, Taylor brings with her many transferable skills.
In 2015 Taylor moved to Calgary from Canada’s East Coast, Prince Edward Island! Growing up around water, Taylor enjoys paddle boarding and being on the water in general. When Taylor is not at work she enjoys traveling, camping, cooking, spending time in the mountains and with family and friends. Taylor also keeps busy by caring for her turtle, Cheese!
Taylor is looking forward to connecting with the New Brighton Residents and guests and seeing what the NBRA has in store for her!

Acacia is the Customer Service Team Lead for the New Brighton Residents Association. She joined the NBRA team in May 2016. Working at the NBRA gives her the opportunity to share her customer service and team work skills. She was born and raised in Calgary, and grew up with 2 older sisters and their 3 dogs, Bella and Emma. Acacia graduated from Bishop O’Byrne high school in 2016 and is yet to discover the perfect career path for herself. She loves to travel and hopes her future holds more places for her to visit. When Acacia isn’t working at the Clubhouse, she keeps herself busy by hanging out with friends and family, being outdoors, and other fun activities.

Caidyn Gallinger is a new member of the NBRA Customer Service Representative team. Newly graduated from Centennial High School, Caidyn is looking forward to gaining knowledge and experience from the New Brighton Residents Association before heading off to university. Caidyn loves new experiences as well as trying or learning new things, which she is glad to have the opportunity to do at New Brighton. Making others happy is something Caidyn finds the most joy in. Born and raised in Calgary, Caidyn enjoys getting outside to play soccer or spend time with her two dogs. When not at New Brighton, you can find Caidyn soaking up the sun in summertime or snowboarding in the winter. Or more importantly, spending time with her family and friends.

Melody Kivia is a new addition to the Customer Service Representative team since July 2020. As a student at the University of Calgary enrolled in Communication, Media Studies, and Sociology. Melody is starting off her professional career here at the NBRA where she hopes to contribute to the sense of community in New Brighton.
For her future, Melody hopes to pursue a career in law. Being a student athlete is one of Melody’s greatest joys, she is currently on the Varsity Dino’s Women’s Rugby team. Participating in team sports throughout her life has helped Melody develop a sense of appreciation for the community and, the drive to always work hard not only for herself but for others.
When not working, doing school work, or paying rugby, Melody enjoys spending time with her friends and family, whether that means a new adventure or, a relaxing meeting over coffee. Melody is looking forward to working with the New Brighton Residence Association.

Caitlin Cox is a new addition to the Customer Service Representative team as of May 2021. She was raised here in our very own New Brighton and prides on being Canadian-Australian. As a student at Joanne-Cardinal Schubert Highschool, Caitlin’s favourite subjects are Biology and Chemistry as she is currently striving to be a Pediatric Physician.
Caitlin has had previous work experience as a Customer Service Representative whilst working for Incline Roofing and Exteriors. She hopes to contribute to the NBRA by making it a positive experience for everyone who crosses her path. Caitlin believes in being a kind soul and helping people solve difficult problems.
When not working, Caitlin spends the majority of her time with friends and watching movies. She is an advocate for mental health and hopes to help others who are going through these illnesses. She is a competitive volleyball player for Ace Volleyball Club and loves skiing, golfing, hiking, and knitting. She has a cat named Ozzie and a Dog named Winston; she says both are very crazy!

Emmy Zapata grew up in New Brighton and spent many days at this very splash park. Some of her favourite memories include building sandcastles with her mom, sneaking up on her younger sister with super soakers and ice skating around the fire pit with her dad in the Winter. Alas, Emmy grew up and graduated from All Saints High School in June 2021 and will be attending Mount Royal University in the fall, to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
In her downtime, Emmy likes to play basketball, go camping, boating, socialize with friends and is a coffee enthusiast.
Ironically, she’s come full circle as a Customer Service Representative at the NBRA and in addition to seeing many familiar faces, is excited for the opportunity to engage with the community. As they say, “it takes a village to raise a child” and now, it’s her turn to help raise yours.

Jacky Quarrell is one of the newest members to join the New Brighton Resident Association, as a Part-Time Customer Service Representative (CSR). Her Full-time position being an Administrative Support II with Alberta Health Services. Jacky brings with her over 20 years of Administration experience, 7 of those years were as an On-Site Office/Safety Administrator in the Oil & Gas Sector. She has her Certifications as an Administrative Assistant, Medical Administrator and Safety Administrator. She has also been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. All of this shows her adaptability to grow, learn and change, while always making sure that she put others before herself.
She is a single mom of 2 wonderful girls, 2 dogs and 2 cats, they’ve been living within the community of New Brighton for 9 years. In her downtime Jacky likes to read, she enjoys going to the mountains with her 2 daughters and her 2 dogs and of course she loves to travel. Her favorite place to travel to is New Orleans where she can just let loose and enjoy whatever life throws at her “laissez les bon temps rouler”

Isaac joined the NBRA team on June 28 2021 as a maintenance team member. He was born in Vancouver but has lived in Calgary since he was 3. In high school Isaac built a strong sense of community through his extracurriculars; basketball and show choir. Isaac is currently attending the University of Calgary for Education and Math and hopes to be an elementary teacher. He believes in working hard and having a strong and uplifting community. In his free time, Isaac is playing basketball, watching the Raptors, hanging out with his dog Eva and spending time with his girlfriend.

Logan joined the NBRA team in June 2021 as a maintenance team member. He was born in Calgary and has lived here his whole life. Throughout grades one to twelve he took French Immersion and received his bilingual diploma when he graduated from Western Canada Highschool. Currently, Logan attends post-secondary school at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, studying Financial services. In his free time he enjoys playing/watching sports, hanging out with friends and going skiing during the winter.

Mark joined the NBRA team in October 2016 as part-time maintenance worker. He enjoys working outside and with machinery, making NBRA a perfect fit! Mark was born and raised in Calgary, and also works at the Glenmore water treatment plant serving Calgarians with clean, safe drinking water. Mark holds a 5th class power engineering certificate as well a journeyman crane ticket. Mark loves new challenges and taking on new opportunities. When Mark isn’t working, he enjoys heading out west to whatever adventure is planned that weekend snowboarding, camping, hiking, and sightseeing.

Nick joined the NBRA team in February of 2021. He is a true Calgarian being born and raised here. He did leave Calgary for 5 years to attend the University of Lethbridge. He played on the university soccer team for 4 years and moved back to Calgary after acquiring his kinesiology degree. In his free time, Nick enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with friends, and playing with his new puppy Luna.

Nick is one of the New Brighton Residents Association Maintenance Team members and has been with the NBRA since May 2019. Originally born and raised in the small town of Banff, Alberta, Nick started his passion for construction at an early age. Nick completed the RAPP program as an electrical apprentice in high school. After high school he continued his apprenticeship and graduated from SAIT from the school of automation in March of 2013. He has recently gone back to school to receive his masters in electrical. Nick brings a high level of care and understanding of how the facility needs to be maintained for everyone to safely enjoy. When Nick isn’t working he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and his golden retriever Noah, as well as fishing, biking, playing hockey, rugby, snowboarding and snowmobiling. Nick also enjoys furthering his education and completing his plumbing and instrumentation apprenticeships.
