The New Brighton Residents Association is proud to host several events each year. These events are free to attend and open to all New Brighton residents (in good standing). Due to space constraints, some events require RSVP.

Tot Time

Tot Time (Wednesdays 1pm-2:30pm) - $2.Drop in Bring your little ones and join a fun afternoon of socialization and unstructured free play with the Bounce House. Parents can enjoy coffee and great company while the kids bounce around!  

Seniors Club

The NBRA is excited to host the New Brighton Seniors Club  ($2 drop in), offering a variety of different activities including cards, crafts, games, great conversation and so much more. Spend your time enjoying new activities, meeting new friends, and exploring everything that the NBRA has to offer.  

Newborn Support Group - Drop In

Newborn Support Group – Thursdays 1:30pm-2:30pm March 16th – March 30th **No class on March 23rd  This group is to support expecting parents, new parents, and anyone who feels they could benefit from it. Danielle, a local Birth and Postpartum Doula (with additional breastfeeding training) has created a group where parents can meet other new parents going through similar stages as well as provide accessible support to the community. If you are wanting more information on labour, having breastfeeding challenges, newborn challenges, or just want to connect with other parents in your community, this is the place for you! Free to drop in!

Good Food Box

The Good Food Box (GFB) is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary whereby you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a very low cost. The Good Food Box is a hands-up program as opposed to hands-out. They offer all Calgarians’ sustainable access to nutritious food to ensure that no one has to go hungry. The boxes are put together and delivered by dedicated volunteers who along with The Community Kitchen desire to see individuals and families accessing affordable nutritious food.  Cut off: March 21st at NOON Delivery: March 31st                             Small: $25 Medium: $30 Large: $35

Morning Time Slot - The Great Eggscape

RSVP will open March 1, 2023! Hop on down to the Clubhouse to enjoy a morning of crafts, games, Easter egg hunting, face painting, balloon twists and a photo booth with the Easter Bunny! Find one of the three NBRA golden eggs throughout the event and you will receive a special treat from the Easter Bunny! Morning Time Slot is now FULL

One Stop Boxes

The NBRA is excited to offer “One Stop Boxes” suitable for families of all sizes these boxes are $25, with two types available: Quality Time (great for date night) and Family Fun Night Boxes! All you have to do is place your order before the cut-off date and get ready to unbox your night of fun! The best part about the NBRA’s “One Stop Boxes” is that, unlike other box services… no subscription is necessary... you can just order the box for the month(s) you desire! Tween's Night Out (10-14yrs)

Tween Night (1st Friday of the month 7pm-8:30pm) Let’s have some fun to the Clubhouse! New Brighton Tweens and teens are invited to a night of games, competitions & good times.  Doors open at 7pm so grab your friends and meet us there. *Tweens ages 10 & 11 must have a parent sign them in & out to participate. * ($2 drop in, includes snacks)   RSVP is required         

Coffee with a Cop - April

Stop by the Clubhouse and chat with your Calgary Police Service Community Resource Officer to discuss local issues that matter, such as crime trends and crime prevention.

Canvas Creations (18+)

Come to the Clubhouse for a relaxing evening of creativity! Learn the technique behind different painting styles and get in touch with your inner artist while visiting with friends! Create your masterpiece from start to finish and take it home to show off your new skills. Drinks will be available for the duration of the workshop. *Note: 1st drink is included with program cost, additional drinks will be sold at a cost of $5 each at the front desk*

Movie in the Clubhouse

Join the NBRA every month for an exciting evening of family fun with movies curated for our wonderful New Brighton families! Indulge in freshly popped theater style popcorn, pop, and a hit movie, all for the low price of $5 for the entire family! The Clubhouse offers a cozy space for the kids to get comfortable and plenty of seating for parents to sit back and relax. Check out the website and Facebook pages to find each month’s movie. Show starts at 7:00! Get ready to spend a great evening with your family and most importantly, enjoy the show!

Looking to kick up your Family Movie Night a notch? The NBRA is now offering $12 Movie Night Popcorn Packs!  Each pack includes: 2 Medium Bags of Theatre Style Popcorn 2 Juice Boxes 2 Pop (your choice from assorted selection) 2 Chocolate bars (your choice from assorted selection) 2 Candy treats (your choice from assorted selection) To place orders, please call 403-781-6613 ext 1 Orders must be placed by 5pm Thursday, April 20th                  Pick up for boxes Friday, April 21st between 5:30pm-7:30pm Packs are $12.+ GST

Babysitting Night

Want a night out without the kids? Let us look after your little ones while you enjoy some quality time. Children must be fully potty trained. Registration is required by registering online (My Programs, Workshops) https://nbra.perfectmind.com, visiting the front desk or by calling 403-781-6613 ext 1 Residents: $15/child Non-Residents: $20/child A light snack & drink will be offered during the evening. Please feel free to pack nut free snacks/drinks for your children should they need more. *please note: In order to confirm registration, payment will be taken at time of booking.
